However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good value particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards but this wasn't foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task.
