Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum can keep your floors clean enough to reduce the frequency of hoovering manually. Choose a robot vacuum with good navigation, has the ability to clean corners and stairs and has large bins that needs to be cleaned out every now and then.

There are models that mop and charge themselves This is an advantage important for families with pets or children. Many of the best robot vacuum for the money performers in our tests have great ability to overcome obstacles.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dust bin when it is full.

Both robots are good at removing surface dirt on carpets and hard floors and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart map of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we tested. It could get stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as carpet and hardwood.

iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is low it will return to its docking station and automatically emptying its dirt into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the most recent features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most important feature of all -- it has an auto vacuum-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot via the app or by voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its best self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying garbage bin which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households however, it can also fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like an enchanted tool.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles of nylon that are stiff and deep into carpet to collect large dust and crumbs. It has three suction modes to meet the task that is being completed. It quickly converts from handheld to floor vacuum, and then back to floor.

This model also has an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in 3.5 hours and provides an easy access to two attachments as well as the clip for a wand. This is a huge improvement over earlier Dysons models, which take a long time to charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its limited run time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are not true. This is a typical and not a remarkable time for the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to vacuum the average-sized home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second run is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It could pick up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and frequently went over the same area multiple times for an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice feature.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It may get stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and will often run out of power before returning to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi best budget robot vacuum is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694, as it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower recurring cost and has more advanced automation abilities and is able to better move itself. It also has a bigger dustbin, and charges more quickly.

The RoboVac X8 is a slick RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most reasons, since it has a longer battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode manually and comes with physical boundary strips, and is operated by your phone's voice assistant. It's also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and is more effective on floors with low pile and bare.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in the field of home electronics. It's no surprise, then, that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has a cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app provides plenty of options to customize your robotic floor scrubber cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior modification docking frequency settings and much more. It's easy to understand and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. However, it wasn't particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a problem for some buyers.

The app lets you access the camera onboard of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's Cleaning Robot Price area. This feature lets you check in on your children or pets when you're away. The filter and dustbin can be cleaned to make cleanup quick and easy. The Jet Bot AI+ also has a clean station that self-empties and helps keep the robot's dustbin clear and maximizes suction power for each cleaning.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Contrary to other robotic vacuums that are specifically designed for carpets and hard floors, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors. They have a wider cleaning path and an extra-large dust bin that can hold 2X more debris than competitors to keep the cleaning area clear for maximum runtime. In addition, they have two side sweepers that clean around edges and corners. The POWERSERIES model also comes with AutoSense which adjusts the power level according to whether it's picking up dirt on the surface or embedded dirt. The vacuum also comes with an app that lets you to view a virtual map, control functions, and create schedules. You can also monitor the status of the vacuum and then send it to its dock for charging at the click of a button. The app lets you modify the LEDs on the top of the vacuum so that you can tell where it is focused or if it's stuck.

The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot, if necessary. For instance my living room rug has a darkly colored border that has a tendency to trip up some of the other robots I've tried. The HRV 425BL however continued to travel across the border without registering the cliff. The ability to program a cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving benefit.
