The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we tested. iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its best self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying garbage bin which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is an old-fashioned sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households however, it can also fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like an enchanted tool.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens and releases cleaner air back into your home. This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It could pick up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and frequently went over the same area multiple times for an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice feature.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It may get stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and will often run out of power before returning to its home base.
