It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with an intuitive mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, although it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it's more expensive and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra
