The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It features an elegant, top piece that appears like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel which other robots couldn't do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best robovac option. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums (click for source), and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums aren't able to meet. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. With the app you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone however it can aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your best robot vacuum cleaner effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum cleaner best buy vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.
Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price cost.
However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices on the market with a wide range of eufy models for substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be empty as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
