1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying vacuum robot (new content from gravesen-vaughn.mdwrite.net) from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a best buy robot vacuum vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be pricey at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. perform to the standards. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best budget robot vacuum in the industry however, it's costly.
It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move around but.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, and features sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
