Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.
For instance, the premium shield of racial violence Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb function in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens

There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-quality reroll token order to create it. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

Once the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. It's an excellent option for players who want to get an edge in battle but don't want burden their wallets. Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to offer an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is equipped. If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an open window that displays the required requirements. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
Once you've met the required requirements for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to indicate how close to completing it. You can also track the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
