The upgrade of gear can increase its stats base and often increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are made available.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to make it. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost.
