The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in cleaning hair from dogs. It's therefore prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into an elegant, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robotic hoovers hoover for carpets, however it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.
