11 Ways To Totally Defy Your Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
upgrade items components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade items may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player improves an item, the base item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader (Theflatearth.win) NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item returning to its original condition and the player having to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items may require different upgrades than normal equipment. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost that are listed above.
