World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its stats increase in value. The value is the sum of all the upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you do. This is due to the fact that many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear, since PvP is limited at lower levels. The average level of an item can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear players can look at the level of an item. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it is able to deal. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when evaluating a vendor's inventory.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, as well as its ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number derived from a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different values, and also that sockets have gems that increase the value of the item overall. This can result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl, which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.

However, this isn't the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding an amount to its haste rating or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

item upgrading Stats

Stats on an item are a significant component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game utilizes them in various ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to one weapon, and to encourage players to experiment with other weapons. The stat modifications of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by the player's level.

Item upgrades add to that by boosting certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. A white or grey item for instance, can only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.

Another method of altering the stats of an item is through affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to give items extra damage or special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to differentiate them by adding a name.

At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other options for rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which of the available stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an item that is unique or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. But as with base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment earlier in the game, and is therefore more valuable in the early game than in later ones, since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading that increase with each item upgrader mod level. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the luck of an item, up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that causes damage by five percent. These items are available in the shop or made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The success rate of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..

The luck of an item may affect the success of an upgrade. All items have an average success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5percent.

The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
