It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and that gems in sockets add to the item upgrading's overall value. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's real item level.

However, this isn't the only factor which can affect an item's ilvl because the level of the area the item upgrader kit; link homepage, dropped in can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The base stats on a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat modifications, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.

The upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with more expensive costs.

Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Affixes can provide the item additional damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount in gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other rerolling methods.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which of the available stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item, or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves and is therefore more beneficial in the early game as opposed to later ones, since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each level of the item upgrader mod.
