For instance, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
It's also the only robot automatic vacuum and mop robot/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes care of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.
