Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which will reduce your room cleaning robot time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ self cleaning vacuum cleaner-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best option is probably hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help easily keep the robot broom's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does everything.
But if you want to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot There are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models for substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just snap on one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to an outlet for power and ample space for it to move however.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The most important aspect that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it started.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
