Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade items increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the Best item upgrade will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest.
