It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has a perfect 10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.
It's also a bit costly however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and some additional cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
