Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item upgrader kit's stats. Each upgrade increment increases a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to get a gauge of the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling an item varies with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved through a variety of methods through the use of upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. Many items can also be reforged to boost their stats.

Upgradable items can be found all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Upgrade components are the main method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that can slot into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading, and many require a specific level of upgrade. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments can be placed on any kind of equipment, and offer less than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They offer a range of bonuses, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to supplying additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will read Blocked if you don't have enough of or.

The amount of upgrade components required for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of upgrading increases with the level and rarity of the item. However you can cut down on this cost by purchasing upgrades from a seller or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia, and others can be improved by adding the suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item and add an adjective, like 'Radiant' or 'Minor Vigor.' The exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any mods at all.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They are animated to grab the viewer's eye and entice curiosity. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language and makes them more effective in communicating the message of a language barrier. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.

Each glyph has a set of values that it can enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This isn't the exact amount at which the glyph will increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the product you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If, however, you have a rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to a different piece of equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out a glyph by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged by removing the glyph fragments.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to become unstable and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you remove the item. You can also apply an inscription to your equipment to add an extra benefit. For example, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly instead of all at one time. This is beneficial for players who are taking a lot of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their equipment and weapons, and can be found in a variety of ways, including in mistery boxes, as rare drops from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Reroll tokens give the player a brand new random affix, which is usually superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good way to reroll weapon stats and can be upgraded for better damage or other perks.

Rerolled items don't appear on the menu for upgrade options, but they are still able to be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the layout of the item upgrading window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its level gauge. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. Therefore, higher-leveled items are more valuable to recycle than items with lower levels.

In addition to reroll tokens players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. Rerolls will roll a % chance for a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

A reroll is a good option for upgrading an item, but users should be aware that it can reduce the total ilvl of the weapon due to the number of rerolls used in order to increase it to its final ilvl. This effect is most noticeable on Diadems and Rings, since they have no other options to increase the ilvl.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players as being too expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it in the form of money or food items that would allow players to alter their builds without a lot of time and effort. However paying for rerolls is not something the developers are planning to implement at this point in the game's development. They are planning to add the ability for players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to boost the value of an item level upgrade upgrade. The first is to increase the upgrade amount which boosts the value of upgrading a given stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading that increases the healing or damage of a given stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. After this the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

When you upgrade items, it is important to remember that upgrades are random. In the majority of cases the best roll will be derived from glyphs, but there are also possibilities for greater or special rolls. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a special item type, it's likely to receiving a higher level.

Upgrades can be costly Particularly if you're upgrading equipment from the standard track to legendary. The cost of upgrading a piece of equipment will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the amount of upgrade levels. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could get to the top of its upgrade item; recent Google blog post, track and unlock an additional effect. This will provide the item with a significant upgrade value. The bonus effect can change with each upgrade level however. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased a value of +3.

The iLevel also changes in accordance with the item's upgrade path and its base level. For instance an item that has been upgraded from being a scarce or unique item to an exceptional one will have the chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base item.
