17 Reasons Why You Should Not Ignore Robots That Vacuum And Mop
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum cleaner uk auto vacuum and mop and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are many functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
