However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested, the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can be stuck on things like socks or power cords and may have issues navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also recommended to keep the bin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and it takes around three hours to recharge.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin, which removes a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

It's capable of sucking up most types of debris and sizes during our testing, and it frequently goes over the same areas multiple times to get a really thorough clean.
