The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its low cost and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

Make sure to check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. Some models can also automatically empty their dust bin on board into a larger one at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have examined. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize smart mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also have carpet boost, a feature that increases the robot's power when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it clean quickly.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our bare floor tests and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. They do have some flaws however, which prevent them from being our top choice. For instance, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

Still, it's very good, especially if you want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work, or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad to a dry one in seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a compact, sleek package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has an impressive suction system and a self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to offer better cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. It has a battery lifespan that is comparable to other models.

You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when it's in a carpeted room which prevents cross-contamination. The flex arm can be utilized to reach under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to clean an entire home and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a decent cleaning job on a variety of floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was top notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming, a feature that hasn't been seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units, this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to the combination of modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only best robot cleaner we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in mornings prior to work or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing to put up with a bit more noise and some extra cost this is a powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features that let you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot hoover and mop utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also has a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home based on how dirty those areas are.

For bigger homes, it's worth opting for one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a particular area of your house using the app or voice controls. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also a good option. Finally a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than the price suggests. It is a good vacuum cleaner and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad that has an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots that vacuum and mop we've examined. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying base that can be washed.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also grants access to a host of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a strong 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for hair of pets. You can also create a spot-clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and more affordable alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, but it's more likely to be caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums we've test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
