World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an Upgrade item track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. The value is the sum of all of its leveled up perks (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you do. This is because of how many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measure of power, and is visible on all item tooltips. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players can use, since PvP is limited at lower levels. The average level of the item can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment players can look at the item level. It's a good indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it's capable of causing. The item level can also be used to compare items when examining the inventory of a vendor.

The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a variety of theories on the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory states that the level of an item is calculated by formulas that determine how valuable an item upgrader kit's stats actually are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different values and sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can lead to an Best item upgrader's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

It's not the only thing that affects the level of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher value.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game utilizes them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to one weapon and to motivate players to explore other weapons. The stat mods of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's skill.

Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats of the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Another way to change the stats of an item is by affixing it. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can provide the item extra damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an additional name to the item.

All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item by a specific stat, or reroll affixes. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, however every item is guaranteed to have at least one stat within that range, unless it's an exclusive item or a God roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or choose which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would have to be carried out on a per-item basis, and the interface for comparing items would not display all the possible stats gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items as well as the properties generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is more advantageous for early game runs, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) for a further +40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Moreover, certain items, like the Hollow infused weapon can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items are available at the store or made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading that item and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the likelihood that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. All items have an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional five percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be obstructed by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
