It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings prior to work or at night when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and better-looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's going to cost you more and make more noise.
