Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling a variety of floor types. Select models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the top models are compatible with your smartphone. Find an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum with mop vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.

When I tested the S1, it was able to identify our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, along with carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this can vary based the amount you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. To do this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.

This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good robot vacuum and include a pair of mop pads that lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble it can navigate tight spaces and climbing stairs without missing a beat. It can go from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust the suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing dirt and debris however, it's not able to get every last bit of dust. It's important to vacuum regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and has a plastic body.

Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 still has some of the best robot cleaner mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dust, dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested to not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it did not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise because it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this allows it to get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost of using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction when needed. The app allows you to mark off areas that you want it to avoid, which is a nice feature.
