1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed to travel and easily fits through doors with its narrow design, it's also one of the lightest double buggies that are available, weighing only 14lbs when folded. It's ideal for travel with a toddler and a newborn as you won’t exceed airline luggage allowances. It can also be folded into the size of the size of a small travel bag making it easy to store in the back seat of your car.

It's simple to fold the Z-shape by using one hand. Once you've gotten used to it, it is compact and can be folded in a matter of minutes. Our tester found the auto-lock somewhat difficult to understand, and also because the handlebar doesn't lock into its position when you push it, it hit her leg when she used it. The handlebar was a bit too short and especially with the large changing bag hanging off it.

In contrast to other travel buggies that are lightweight it doesn't sacrifice features and is one of the most feature-packed double strollers that are available. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also offers multiple recline positions, and an UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats to transform it into a travel set-up.

The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they're not designed for off-roading. They had trouble with long grass and gravel and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel which meant that mud could get stuck easily. That being said our testers still enjoyed the buggy and did get up to some pretty hilly terrains.

They can be repositioned so that they face the parent or the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggie, however, it's very easy to use and drive, especially on smooth pavements. It is stable in both double and single modes and even on sloping terrain. It's not as easy to drive on public transport, however, as it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also quite bulky and won't fit into the standard car boot for families with the seat attached but this is a problem that can be overcome by thoughtful planning. iCandy includes a footmuff and changing bag in the cost, so it's an excellent value package for parents who are just starting out.

Our testers noted that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even when walking on uneven ground or when turning quickly in an area with a lot of traffic. The feature that the seats can be reclined independently was an enormous hit.

They also appreciated that the hoods could be moved back and forward making them easy to adjust in the sun or for wind protection. They did not offer the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's worth packing an extra rain cover inside the case.

Overall, our testers were impressed with the way the Nipper Double allowed them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla on all sorts of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to running to the park to play with their friends. The testers were also impressed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There's plenty of room for toddlers who are growing. The lack of parent facing seating and the inability of using a car seat with this buggy were noted as a disadvantage by our test participants.
