1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate making maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile robotic cleaner and mop a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them and even managed to drive across thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down the stairs in one move. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it has to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with many unique features, including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, rather than simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
The robot comes with a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled when required. It also has a range of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it can sometimes get caught in the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good and include a pair of mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also filled at the top of the station if needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship best robot hoover mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend along baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It is able to move from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for real-time video supervision. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuums that mop vacuum does an excellent job of picking up dirt and debris however, it's not able to be able to reach every particle of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum once a week, especially to clean dust from corners and on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home WiFI network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to wipe your floor. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleaning times and set the floor type. It also comes with an best automatic vacuum water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.
Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa power to take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any issues with high-pile carpets or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up kitty litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
