The best robot cleaner Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some have great navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It is very fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and works well however this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will determine how fast the device will traverse your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it has a variety of innovative features. It's crucial to note that it incurs recurring costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot vacuum and mop comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best automatic vacuum and mop feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was beginning and getting its work done.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base comes with a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
