How To Create Successful Pushchair Tutorials On Home
Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin
If you have twins, you'll need a double pushchair in order to get them from A to B. Our range includes twin prams and buggies that can be set up in various ways to meet your requirements.
Choose a stroller which can fold in one step and then easily tucked away into your car. You may also want lightweight designs that are easy to maneuver and navigate especially if you have busy high streets to navigate.
Side-by-Side
This is the most common double pushchair. It usually seats two children side by side. They tend to be wider than single pushchairs, which means they are less agile on footpaths and can be a little tricky to navigate between kerbs with a car seat attached. However the extra width does mean that they're usually easier to navigate through doorways and are distributed more evenly making them easier to carry around on your back.
Many models can be used from birth as twin prams and will accept a carrycot, or two car seats. Some models can be converted into a single mode with a basket on the side (like the Cybex Venus).
One of the best travel pram examples of this is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 which, in Twin Mode, allows you to place the rear seat and carrycot side-by-side. This creates a fully enclosed space for twins, and is ideal for newborns. The triple pram comes with very cool accessories, such as the newborn cocoons, which can be put on either facing towards the front or in any direction (for twin-facing prams). It's not as light as other options, but it's extremely well-thought out.
Lightweight
Cybex is known for its innovative pushchairs, and the single-to-double is no exception. The frame can be expanded to accommodate another seat. It is possible to use the pushchair as twins from birth by adding two newborn cocoons that cost PS59 each. These cocoons create enclosed lie-flat spaces. The large shopping basket that is behind the seat lets it be used in mono mode with just one child. It has both front and rear suspensions, so it can handle bumps and uneven surfaces with ease. The top choice among our reviewers.
Available in a variety of stylish colors.
Tandem
If you're planning to have twins, you need a pushchair that can allow children to sit together and be able to see each one another. They are perfect for visiting the zoo, as children can watch the animals together. These are also great for parents who want to watch both their toddler and their baby simultaneously.
Some tandem pushchairs are extremely flexible, as they can be converted to single mode. This is especially useful for families with more than two children (or if your eldest child isn't a need for an extra buggy). This will save you from having to store an empty buggy, which can be expensive.
The Cybex Venus, for example can be used in mono or double mode. The frame can be expanded to accommodate a second seat. It's not the lightest of pushchairs, but it has a large basket that can be placed behind the front seat when in double pram and pushchair mode, or at the back if in mono mode. The seats can be set up in a way that they face each opposite or higher up to be able to see what each is doing.
Other double tandem pushchairs, such as the Joolz Geo 3, are capable of seating one over the other or side by side. The slim, sleek frame makes it easy to maneuver through doorways and aisles of supermarkets. Some models can be used on rough terrain, or for a jogging path due to their wide rear wheels and four-wheel suspension.
A tandem pushchair can also be used to carry two carrycots, or a car and buggy seat. This allows you to build a travel system right from the outset and save money on additional purchases. Be aware that tandems are heavier and longer, and they may be less stable when you bump into kerbs and going over uneven surfaces. These pushchairs must also be dismantled to fit in cars.
