WoW Upgrades - The item upgrades Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrade by 3. Each upgrade item also increases an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item upgrader mod has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item Level Upgrade has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader mod upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require various methods, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if the items come from another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
