The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best robot vacuum navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It doesn't create as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well however, this is something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot cleaner vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most Robot Vacuums That Mop vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.
Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the amount of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
It's expensive, but has many smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. It has a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to signalled when it was beginning or finished its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and robot vacuum Cleaner iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
