The Most Advanced Guide To Item Upgrader

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.
Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This value is the total of all its leveled up advantages (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the variety of perks that have to be altered to upgrade an item.
Item level is a widely used measure of power, and is visible on all item tooltips. It also serves to limit the amount of PvP gear players can use since PvP is not available at lower levels. The average item level is listed on the character sheet.
When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment players can evaluate the item level. It's a measure of the damage and quality. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller is possible using the item level.
The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, as well as its ilvl. It can also be located by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are a few theories on how the calculation of an item's level is done. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It considers that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.
This is not the only thing that affects the ilvl of an item. The location of where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For example, it could add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can make or break an item for players. The game uses them in a variety of ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to a single weapon and to motivate players to experiment with other weapons. The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's skill.
The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item upgrade determines its cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.
Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes can do things like give the item extra damage, add a special capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by putting an additional name to the item.
All affixes are currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other rerolling options.
In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the Best item upgrader level, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's a unique item or a God roll from a boss in a raid.
This is another aspect that could be altered by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be either lost or gained at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the likelihood of item discoveries as well as the properties that appear on loot drops and the intensity of those properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is thus more valuable in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, because most players value higher weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.
Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance, which increases with each item level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item, up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that is able to deal damage by five percent. These items can be found in the shops or made by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading the item and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.
The Luck of an item can affect the success of an upgrade. Every item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by an additional 5%.
Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
