Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.

The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon or rings. The item is replaced by another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they do not retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of an item that could include increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.

Players can roll equipment in three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage that weapons and melee attacks while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.
