World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a method to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the fact that many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.

Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It also serves as a gating requirement while waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is limited to a lower level). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell gear players can look at the levels of the item. It's a measure of the item's damage and its quality. The item level can also be used to compare items when looking at the inventory of a vendor.

The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the complete item description, including its level. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are many theories about how the item level is determined. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different values and that gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item level upgrade. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

This is not the only factor that influences the value of an item upgrader mod. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may change its stats. For instance it can add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat modifications of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher costs.

Another method to alter the stats on an item is through affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an Best item upgrader by the player, and are available in all sizes and shapes. The affixes are used to give items additional damage or special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs) or to differentiate them by adding a name.

Presently, all affixes are able to be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circles arrows. This will cost a specific amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, as with other methods of rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item with a specific stat, or reroll the affixes. The possible stat ranges of an item are based on the level of the item, however every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it is an exclusive item or a God roll from a raid boss.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade item the equipment without rerolling the affixes or deciding which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would have to be carried out on a per-item basis and the item upgrader Kit compare interface would not display all the possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in early game runs than later ones because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading which increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be made or spawn using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased from the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are a costly process and not every upgrade will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item if it is not successful.

The success rate of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limits to the extent to which success rates can be increased, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%.

The success of an upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item. All items have an overall success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.

The upgrade overlays for items are displayed above items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
