Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at a time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved through a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their value.

Upgradable items can be found in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are items that can slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading and some require a certain amount of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put on any equipment, and offer less than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer numerous bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing additional crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats are after the upgrade, as well as any necessary components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will read Blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components required for the specific item. The price of an upgrade increases as the level and rarity of the item increases. However, you can reduce the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a seller or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded with the use of a prefix upgrade items, such as an insignia or a rune, and a lot of them are upgraded by a suffix upgrade. These upgrades alter the name of the item and add an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the noninscribable wands, foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any mods in any way.

Glyphs

Glyphs are an effective tool to communicate visual information. They are animated to draw the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.

Each glyph increases the value of a stat by a certain range. This is displayed on the item upgrader kit, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is the highest value that a glyph could increase a stat's value by but not the amount it will actually increase it by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier as well as the quality of the item that you are admiring.

Most upgrade components slotted into items are not able to be repaired or replaced without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that hasn't yet been incorporated into your gear, you can move it to another piece of gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove the glyph using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will destroy the item upgrader mod in which it is installed but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item by using the glyph and its shards so this should not be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable, and the shards of the glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add the glyph to your equipment to add an extra benefit. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at one time. This is useful for players who suffer lots of damage from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, including mystery boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Each reroll token gives the player a brand new random affix, which is usually superior to the original. Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons and can be upgraded for better damage or perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button" you can recycle the rerolled items. This will change the appearance of the window for the item, and allow up to six items to be chosen for recycling. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, which means items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will determine the % chance of a particular weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded. If it is lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.

Rerolling is an excellent method to improve an item. However, players should be aware that the total ilvl will be reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective with ring items and Diadems that do not have any alternatives to raise their ilvls.

The reroll system has been criticized by players for being expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it using money or food items that would allow players to alter their build without a lot of time and energy. However paying for rerolls is not something the developers are planning to incorporate at this point in the game's development. They plan to add a potion that will allow players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first method of leveling up an item upgrade is by increasing the upgrade amount. This increases the upgrade value for a stat. The second is to increase the upgrade effect, which increases the damage or heal of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item upgrading will keep its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.

When upgrading your items it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed. In the majority of cases, a better roll is based on the glyphs. However, there are times when a greater or special roll could occur. In addition, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type which means that should you upgrade a rare or unique item to an extraordinary type, it could gain an increased iLevel.

The cost of upgrading items can be expensive, particularly if you're upgrading a piece of equipment from the standard to the legendary track. The cost will depend on the item's base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels it comes with. Some upgrade tracks also require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item may attain the highest level on its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional benefit. This will give the item a significant upgrade value. The bonus effect can change with each upgrade level however. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by a factor of +3.

Based on the Best item upgrade's base level and upgrade route, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For example an item that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to an extraordinary item will have a chance to get the Enhanced Defense of the new base type of item.
