Why Item Upgrade May Be More Dangerous Than You Believed
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of equipment and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations that are applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or rings. The item is replaced with an identical item however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.
The surviving players can acquire reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of a piece of equipment, such as increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can roll their equipment in three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attack and spell power upgrade mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade items elevates an item to a better quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the space until the next successful result is rerolled. This lets you save upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of each preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. When they are opened they show a complete description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool when you run. This alters which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and other accessories. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.

Additionally players can transfer experience and the progress of an upgraded item onto a new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many methods to obtain these stones, such as signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. In addition, players can cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to boost the power of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will be upgraded to an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is attained.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be applied to more than one item at the same time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a particular amount of items to be added and an appropriate amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left one is where players can put in an Best item upgrader to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. When the player has enough items and has pressed the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.

When an item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. When an item reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to that track will have a discount.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an extra effect or attribute bonus while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements

The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This will give them extra effects or an increased Best item upgrade level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources within the game, including crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it can't be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without limitation.
Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also adds an extra 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Certain items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats and more for the fact that it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will add an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show how close you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also track the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
