Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot sweeper to date is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot vacuum cleaner industrial to stay clear of it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.
Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as smart as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is an option for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These robots come with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it can be done easily. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the top available however it's expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. The station's most appealing point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price price.
But if you want to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy best robovac G30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
