iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including getting rid of any toys or clutter it may come across. The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin that eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room and vacuum an area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. After connecting, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." It's capable of sucking up all debris types and sizes during our tests, and often passes over the same areas multiple times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice feature.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and navigate your home. It's not equipped with the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series. This was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than some of the other models we've tested which could be a deal-breaker for some shoppers.
